MagneTherm

MagneTherm

Magnetherm-RC1

The magneTherm™ from nanoTherics is a unique, competitively priced system specifically developed for magnetic fluid and nanoparticle hyperthermia testing. It operates at a wide range of user-configurable frequencies in one system with no hidden extras needed.  This allows it to serve a wide variety of applications, including In Vivo, In Vitro, Calorimetry and Drug Release. Since the heating capacity of magnetic nanoparticles will vary, depending on size, shape and material properties, it is critical to evaluate heating capacity over a broader range of frequencies to establish frequency response profiles. Magnetherm eliminates the difficulty in sourcing off-the-shelf equipment by meeting this need yet still offering flexibility in choice of frequencies, field strength, sample size and format, calorimetric, in vitro and in vivo capabilities, temperature measurement and temperature control options. The magneTherm operates at a wide range of frequencies with field strengths up to 20 kA/m (25 mT) all in one system.  If you would like to learn more please contact us

In Vivo Water Jacket Option

The In Vivo Water Jacket Option includes all the necessary components to use with magneTherm systems, including a water jacket, larger diameter Sample holders/adapter rings and Coils, and insulating sample locators.
This Option can be used in a Vertical or Horizontal orientation,
the unique Water Jacket allows you to maintain physiological
temperature control for In Vivo studies. The water flow is
constant and unidirectional which means that the chamber will
achieve the desired temperature in a very short time, which is a distinct advantage over other water-cooled solutions.

Why a water jacket?

Mice/Rat options include a temperature-controlled water jacket which is essential when recording temperatures with animals
under anesthetic for two reasons:

1 – maintenance of physiological temperature is required as an animal’s temperature will drop by 6 to 10 degrees C within 30 minutes under anesthesia.
When measuring temperatures at the surface or core
this cooling effect will significantly affect results.
Using a temperature-controlled water jacket
eliminates this issue.

2 – Helps reduce eddy current formation during
exposure
